El miércoles 31 de octubre comienza el 3er
Encuentro de Orquestas en Iquique que contará con la participación de aproximadamente 12 orquestas y que colmará de música la región de Tarapacá hasta el 3 de noviembre.La inauguración del Encuentro, patrocinado por segundo año consecutivo por la Fundación de Orquestas Juveniles, se realizará en el Palacio Rimac ex aduana, para continuar con conciertos en el Salón de Eventos de la Zofri y en diferentes iglesias de la ciudad.Además, se efectuarán una serie de conciertos educacionales en diferentes colegios, en lugares públicos de Iquique y en comunas rurales cercanas.Este encuentro culminará con un gran concierto en el Teatro Municipal de Iquique en el que se presentarán todas las orquestas participantes, entre ellas podemos nombrar:Orquesta de Apresto Escuela Artística Violeta Parra - Orquesta de Cámara Esuela Artística Violeta Parra - Orquesta Juvenil Academia Mozart - Orquesta de Apresto Academia Mozart - Orquesta de Cámara colegio Don Bosco - Orquesta Piu Mosso - Orquesta Filarmónica Infantil Juvenil de Alto Hospicio - Orquesta Moderna Alto Hospicio - Orquesta Juvenil de Pozo Almonte - Orquesta de Cámara del Colegio Chuquicamata - Orquesta de niños de la Quinta Región - Orquesta Juvenil de Contulmo.
